Data are value free. They have no agenda. Armed with these data, I search for patterns and connections. I want to understand how certain patterns affect one another. I peel the layers back until the root cause or causes are revealed.
The world is an unpredictable place. Everything may seem in order, but beneath the surface I can sense the many risks. Rather than denying these risks, I draw each one out into the open. Then each risk can be identified, assessed, and ultimately reduced.
My goal is to help others experience success. I look for ways to challenge them, stretch them and help them grow. All the while, I am on the lookout for a new behavior learned or modified, a slight improvement in a skill, a glimpse of excellence.
